How to make a reservation

STEP1 Call: 03-3451-5171
Weekdays: 10:00-16:00
(Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, the year-end and New Year holidays, and company holidays) -
STEP2 A booking confirmation form is sent from Ogasawara Kaiun -> Make payment by bank except from overseas transfer. (For a student discount fare, fax a copy of student ID and passport to Ogasawara Kaiun.)

STEP3 Submit your booking confirmation form and receive your boarding tickets at the check-in counter on the day of departure.
Points to Note
- Call 03-3451-5171 (Ogasawara Kaiun) to make reservations by phone.
- Reservations by phone can be made only on weekdays from 10:00 to 16:00. The office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays.
- Reservations by phone are accepted from 2 months to 14 days in advance of the departure date. After that period tickets can be reserved in person at Ogasawara Kaiun, the TakeshibaBranch Office of Tokai Kisen, and travel agencies.
- For during peak season(Year-end & New Year holidays, Golden Week holidays, July/August), reservations are available from the specific date that will be announced on our website and brochure as soon as fixed.
- A refund fee will be charged if travel is canceled after a reservation is made or requested by phone.
- Requests for fare adjustments can only be made by phone. Fares are not adjusted on the date of departure.
- If requesting a student discount, please mail or fax a copy of your student ID to Ogasawara Kaiun within about 3 days of making the reservation. Please write the departure date and your reservation number alongside the copied image. The fax number: 03-3451-4522.

- The travel agent must call our office to confirm availability before selling you tickets. You will therefore need to visit the agent during our business hours (weekdays 10 A.M. to 4 P.M., closed weekends, holidays, and during the New Year holiday).
- Please note that a travel agent may charge a service fee for issuing your ticket(s). Please ask before making your purchase.

- On the day of departure, submit your embarkation ticket at the check-in counter at Takeshiba Ship Terminal and complete the boarding procedure. (Check-in time is 9:30-10:40. Check-in times may change during peak periods.)

Tickets for all classes may be purchased directly at the terminal for same-day travel, if seats are available. Ticket sales start at 10 A.M. at Counter 4 at the TakeshibaPassenger Boat Terminal (but note that the counter is subject to change).

- Tickets cannot be issued if no seats are available. Same-day tickets for 2nd-class travel are generally available during non-peak periods but are less likely to be available during the New Year holiday, the Golden Week holiday, the August Obon season, and the September holiday period. Please call to check availability before coming to the terminal.
